Rromani (Rromanes) word of the day!

helloimlulu:

I am going to try to keep up with this, because I want us all to take part!! I am not fluent in Rromani, but I am conversational and I would like that to change.

From what I know, the dialect of Rromani that I am familiar with is either Bugurdzi or Arli (Kosovo) dialect. I apologize I am not entirely sure which.

Today, I am very tired and sleepy! So I will choose the word “tired.”

 Umorno!

Tired is ‘umorno!’ (oo-more-no).

*I often use ‘umorno’ to describe being VERY tired. So, as a side note I will include ‘sleepy’ which is khino (kh-ee-no).

In Gurbet(ski):

hićino is tired or exhausted (said a little like khino)

lindralo is sleepy :)

In Lotfitka:

khīno is tired

and lindrovato (lindralo) is sleepy :):)
