Sometimes I wonder that myself. But, I guess part of me understands that people Just Don’t Know… and a lot of people think that as long as the intent is good, that it can’t possibly be racist or offensive. I think racism is seen as an extreme and people don’t realize it’s really the little things (on the path to extreme) that do the damage.

I guess that I’ve realized lately the massive (and overwhelming) extent of ignorance and ingrained blatant racism where Rroma (and Walking People) are concerned. It’s everywhere around us, fashion, tv, movies—and people think that those little things aren’t bad things because hey, other people do it and it’s meant in a good way…

I’m tired of being upset by it; tired of arguing with it. Doesn’t mean I’m going to stop addressing it, I just think that slowly dripping water will wear away the stone faster than a great downpour that lasts a brief time.

But, my thoughts may change tomorrow, LOL
