Names are important to us. When we are young, we learn through experience how to provide our ancestry, how to answer questions about “whose are we”.
We carry the names of great families forever in our hearts.
We name drop amongst each other.

Out of curiosity, do you pronounce Zarackova “skova” or “kova”? Is it a Cyrillic ssss or a hard English CK?
Sadly, I just have the one name that I go by. Mom was a Gazhi. Maybe if I were speaking Rromanes in person I would SAY Yordano instead of Jordan, but that’s no different than me saying ZHordan to a Frenchman, Hordan to Spaniard, or some other translated name.
Need to find me full Romani family to hang with, adopt a new Baba, lol.
